St Vaast Resource Pack for Schools
Bridport's primary schools and Sir John Colfox School have received resource packs from the association. The packs contain a large framed panoramic photo, posters, books, IT resources and other information to enable our young folk to learn and understand more about our twin town.
Tuesday's, fortnightly, at the West Dorset Club, South Street under the leadership of Micheline Wheatley, ably assisted by her husband 'Bob'.
All members, and guests, are welcome so please ring Chairman Mike for further information if you feel it could be of some benefit to you.
Union Jack/Tricolor, lapel pin badges (just as the picture right) are available for the very reasonable price of £2 each or two for £3.50. The pin is approx. 1" wide and 1/2" high and finished in high quality enamel and gold plated.
It would be a great addition to any outfit you may be wearing at any twinning function, especially in France.
Further supplies may be difficult to acquire, get yours now to avoid any disappointment.

Year Twelve (lower sixth) students studying French and living in Bridport have the opportunity to apply for a Twinning Association Bursary. This will enable them to visit St. Vaast La Hougue for a few days to further their French language skills.

Charter of Friendship
The above script is the text of the original Charter dated 16th June 1979 and signed by the mayor in office at the time, Cllr. Percy Norfolk, Peter Allsebrook, Chairman of Bridport Twinning Assc. and Cllr. Tony Tiltman.
A similar Charter, in French, hangs in the Mairie of St. Vaast dated 6th October 1979. It is signed by the then Mayor of St. Vaast, Jules Pinteaux and Chairman of the St. Vaast Twinning Assc.
INCORPORATING AMENDMENTS MADE AT ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF 18 APRIL 2011.
The title of the Association shall be the Bridport – St. Vaast La Hougue Twinning Association.
The aims of the Association shall be to promote and foster friendship and understanding between the people of Bridport and the surrounding area and those of St. Vaast la Hougue and the surrounding area, in particular:
