Over forty members attended the A.G.M., held in the Town Hall on 14th May.
The evening was ably managed by Chairman Mike. Members were greeted with a glass of a delicious wine and Linda had arranged the viewing of a DVD of the 2011 twinning meet by the St. Vaastais in Bridport.
The present committee were re-elected for the incoming year.

Forthcoming Events

Picnic in the Park.

Bastille Day. Saturday 14th July from 6.00 p.m. on Bridport Millennium Green. Entry £5 by lucky programme available at the entrance.
Members are invited to bring guests and, of course, a 'picnic'.
Entertainment provided by the "Rex Trevett Big Band", and will be supported by the "Bucky Dont's" from 6.15 p.m.
Local schools will be presented with a St. Vaast resource pack, gathered on a recent visit and put together by Linda.  

2012 Visit to St. Vaast.

This year's visit will be over the weekend of September 22nd/23rd. Circumstances in St Vaast have meant a change of month.
There are no facilities for coach travel from Poole. It will mean a crossing via Portsmouth to Ouistreham, and then onward to St. Vaast, on Friday 21st. Return will be on Monday 24th. Chairman Mike is checking on any alternative arrangement possibilities and the costs. As soon as he has decided I will post them here.
For those of you that will be traveling by car independantly, there is still the Condor (Fastcat) service from Poole to Cherbourg. Departs 07:00 on Friday 21st Sept. and returns 11:30 (or 17:00) on Monday 24th. If you wish to travel on this service I seriously advise you to book early! At the time of posting this, typical cost for a car + two is £138, car + four £238.
I'm sure Secretary Derek will be confirming the travel details and also printing a booking form on a future newsletter. Should you already have it mind to make this trip please let Chairman Mike know.
