Bridport Youth Council is made up of students from The Sir John Colfox School, primary schools in the area and representatives from the Youth Centre. The Youth Council has just started to meet and will be looking at how to publicise its activities and involve other young people. This will include developing its own web pages on this site.  It has also been looking at the Town Plan and has identified the following areas that young people may want to get involved with in the town:

• Take a look at the web site and design a youth Town Council section on it 
• Helping to design a multi-use games area near the Football Club
• Looking at West Bay Play Area - thinking about how this could be improved for children with disabilities
• Help to look at how the skate park could be re-designed.
• Help improve the use and links between the Town Hall, Museum and Arts Centre
• Take a look at where to put new play areas in Bridport and what should go in them
• Help improve the look of roundabouts in town
• Help in looking at water sports activities in West Bay
• Look at the problem of travel for young people in our area
• Think about the things that young people might like to see in Bridport 

Representatives from the Youth Council will now begin developing web pages of interest to young people and to let you know all about the Youth Council and its work. More information will appear on this site soon !
