Community Resilience Workshop
Local people from Bridport and West Bay are being asked for their ideas on how the community can prepare for severe weather and future changes in the local climate. Communities Living Sustainably (CLS) in Dorset are working with Bridport Town Council to explore how the local community is affected by bad weather today and what can be done locally to adapt to events like heat waves, droughts and heavy rainfall in future.
West Bay/Bridport Park and Ride
Bridport Town Council, in partnership with West Dorset District Council, is again operating the West Bay/Bridport Park and Ride Service during the summer holiday period, on Wednesdays and Saturdays (market days), from 19 July through to 10 September 2014.
The service will run from the main West Bay Road car park to the Spar Shop, East Street, Bridport, approximately every twenty minutes, from 9.15 am to 2.45 pm. The last journey back to West Bay, from outside the Spar Shop, is at 3.00 pm. Payment is made at the Park and Ride ticket machine in West Bay Road Car Park and costs £2.00 return for the whole family.
Bridport Town Guide
Bridport and West Bay is to be promoted with a new Town Guide commissioned by the Town Council and produced by Kathy Dare and her associates at Kayenne Marketing, a local marketing firm. There will be an opportunity for local businesses to advertise within the Guide but it will be limited. For anyone wishing to advertise in the new Town Guide for 2014/15, please contact Kathy Dare on 07866 423581.
The Bridport Videos
