What's on and where to go
Below are some of the main events happening in and around Bridport, also see our calendar for at a glance listings.
Local organisations are invited to add their own events to these listings.
On Thursday 24 April at Bridport Town Hall, art historian Gwen Yarker will give an illustrated talk on Henry Joseph Moule, a Dorset born watercolour artist and friend of Thomas Hardy. Talk starts at 7.00pm - £3 donation encouraged.
The first curator of Dorset County Museum, Moule’s lasting legacy is an astonishing collection of several thousand watercolours he painted of the Dorset countryside. A unique record, providing a vivid insight into Victorian Dorset and strongly evoking the Wessex of Thomas Hardy’s books.
